TPSC Food Safety Officer Online Form 2024
Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) is inviting online applications from eligible Indian citizens for the recruitment of 15 Food Safety Officer positions (UR-08, SC-03, ST-04) in Group-B Gazetted under the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Tripura. The selected candidates will be placed in Pay Band-3 of Rs. 10230-34,800/- with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4,800/-. Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply online.

Qualification for the Post: TPSC Food Safety Officer
Candidates applying for the position of Food Safety Officer must hold a Degree or Postgraduate Degree in a relevant discipline. This role involves ensuring the safety and compliance of food standards under the Health and Family Welfare Department, Govt. of Tripura. Applicants must meet the specified educational qualifications and other criteria mentioned in the official notification.
TPSC Food Safety Officer Online Form 2024 - Selection Procedure
The selection procedure is governed by the Tripura Gazette Extraordinary Issue, June 22, 2021, as notified for the post of Food Safety Officer, Group-B Gazetted.
Selection Process
Duration: The written examination will be of 2 (two) hours.
Stages: The recruitment process consists of two stages:
Written Examination (General Study) - 85 marks (MCQ type)
Interview/Personality Test - 15 marks
Interview Eligibility:
Candidates will be called for the interview based on a merit list prepared from the written examination, in a ratio of 1:5 for each part.
Candidates scoring marks equal to the last qualified candidate in the written examination will also be called for the next stage.
Only those who qualify in the written examination will be called for the interview/personality test.
Merit List:
In case of a tie in marks, merit will be determined by the candidate's age (seniority).
For candidates with the same age and marks, merit will be determined by the percentage of marks obtained in the minimum educational qualification.
Interview Assessment: The interview will assess personal qualities such as intellectual ability, social traits, interest in current affairs, critical judgment, leadership ability, and moral integrity.
Final Selection: The final selection will be based on the merit list, which will be prepared by adding the marks obtained in both the written examination and the interview. Absence from the interview will result in disqualification from the final selection.

TPSC Food Safety Officer Online Form 2024 - Other Important Information
Online Application Portal:
Applications must be submitted through the Online Application Portal only. No hard copy applications will be accepted.
The portal will be available on the Commission's website from 14-08-2024 to 18-09-2024 (5.30 PM).
Applicants must register their bio-data particulars through One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on the Commission's website.
Avoid submitting multiple applications. If unavoidable, ensure that the latest Application Number is complete in all respects.
Only the latest application will be considered, and fees paid against one Application Number will not be adjusted against another.
Document Submission:
Do not upload any certificates with the application.
Applicants must possess the prescribed minimum qualifications by the closing date for submission of applications.
Candidates must apply through the proper channel or submit a "No Objection Certificate" from their employer.
Recruitment Fees:
Group-B Gazetted Posts: Rs.350/- for General Candidates and Rs.250/- for ST/SC/BPL cardholders/Physically Handicapped Candidates.
Recruitment fees are non-refundable.
Incomplete applications or those submitted without the requisite fee will be rejected.
Commission's Decision: The Commission's decision regarding eligibility at any stage of the selection process shall be final.
Answer Script Evaluation: The assessment and evaluation of the answer scripts by the Commission shall be final and not open to scrutiny by any external authority.
Examination Venue: The examination venue will be closed 10 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the examination. No entry will be allowed after closure.
Updates: Candidates should regularly visit the Commission's website for updates regarding the recruitment process.
Electronic Gadgets: Mobile phones and electronic gadgets are banned in the examination and interview premises. Possession of such items may lead to confiscation and disqualification.
Dress Code: Entry into the examination hall or interview premises with face masks, jackets, coats, pullovers, or similar garments is not allowed.
