TG TET 2024 – Apply Online for Teacher Eligibility Test

Telangana State School Education Department has issued the notification for carrying out Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test, abbreviated as TG TET-2024. Notice has been issued for recruitment of teachers for Classes I to VIII in all Telangana State schools. Eligible applicants can apply through online application; the process consists of two papers Paper I: Classes I-V and Paper II: Classes VI-VIII with qualifications that differ for each.

Qualification for the School Education Department, Telangana – TG TET-2024

For Paper-I (Classes I to V):

Intermediate/Senior Secondary with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/BC/Differently abled).
2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, 4-year B.El.Ed, or 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
For candidates enrolled in D.El.Ed/D.Ed before 23-12-2015: minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/BC/Differently abled).

For Paper-II (Classes VI to VIII):

B.A./B.Sc./B.Com with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/BC/Differently abled) and B.Ed/B.Ed (Special Education).
4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/BC/Differently abled).
Graduation in relevant language or literature with Language Pandit Training/B.Ed in relevant language.
B.E/B.Tech with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/BC/Differently abled) and B.Ed or B.Ed (Special Education).

For eligibility in TG TET, the candidates need to fulfill educational qualifications, which differ between Paper I and Paper II. For Paper I, the educational qualification is Intermediate/Senior Secondary with elementary education diploma, whereas for Paper II, it is a bachelor's degree in prescribed subjects with B.Ed. Qualification requirements in terms of minimum marks are again different for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
