To qualify for the Staff Nurse position, candidates must have completed a General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) course or hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. This qualification ensures that the candidates have the necessary medical and nursing skills required for the role. The recruitment aims to fill the 78 available Staff Nurse positions across various locations.
The recruitment is for the positions of Staff Nurse and Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) under the Directorate of Health Services (MI), Shillong.
There are 164 vacancies for Staff Nurses and 78 vacancies for Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANM).
The Staff Nurse position is in Level 8 with a specified pay scale, while the Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) position is in Level 5.
For the Staff Nurse position, candidates need a B.Sc. Nursing or General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) from a recognized institution and registration under the Meghalaya Nursing Council. For the ANM position, an Auxiliary Nurse & Midwifery Certificate from a recognized institution and registration under the Meghalaya Nursing Council are required.
The age limit is 18 to 32 years. Age relaxation is provided: 10 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates. PwBD candidates also receive a 10-year relaxation.
The application fee is ₹500 for General candidates and ₹250 for SC/ST candidates. There is no fee for PwBD candidates.
The application period starts on August 5, 2024, and ends on September 5, 2024, at midnight.
The examination is scheduled for September 21, 2024.
Candidates must apply online through the website www.meghealth.gov.in, upload the required documents, and pay the application fee. Applications received through other modes will not be accepted.
The examination will be conducted using an OMR response sheet, which must be filled in with a black ballpoint pen.
During physical verification, candidates must present their original documents and self-attested copies, including registration certificates, educational certificates, proof of identity, and any sports certificates if applicable.
A written test will be held for all candidates. The test will cover various subjects including Medical & Surgical Nursing, Obstetrical & Gynecological Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, and Community Health Nursing.
The syllabus includes Medical & Surgical Nursing, Obstetrical & Gynecological Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, and Community Health Nursing.
Admit cards can be downloaded from the website www.mmsrb.in. Candidates will receive personal intimation via mail or SMS with instructions on how to access their admit cards.
Examination centers will be in Shillong and Tura.
Selection will be based on the marks obtained in the written examination. The final selection list will be published after the validation of the OMR response sheets.
