Eastern Railway cell Sports Persons under the Sports Quota for the year 2024-25 and has a total of 60 vacancies at all levels. All requirements-eligible interested candidates can apply online between 15th November 2024 and 14th December 2024. Field trial is likely to be conducted in the second week of January 2025. Applicants are advised to refer to the detailed notification for submitting applications to only the official website. Recruitment is done in different sports disciplines, and applicants must meet the requisite age and qualification criteria as prescribed.

The candidates for Sports Person posts must have the educational qualification at every level. For Level-4 and 5, any graduate degree is necessarily to be followed. For levels 2 and 3, a candidate needs to be 10th/12th passed or passed ITI from NCVT/SCVT. At Level-1, one needs to be 10th pass, ITI, or equivalent NAC issued by NCVT. All such qualifications ensure that the candidates reporting to their proper posts can perform their jobs adequately.
Candidates may download the e-call letter for recruitment process from official RRC/ER website www.rrcer.org. 20 days prior to the date of the trial the call letters will be available for download from the website. No call letters will be posted to the candidates. This should be taken as notice for final recruitment process and prepare accordingly.
The selection process will involve trials, assessment of recognized sports achievements as per norms, and evaluation of educational qualifications. Only candidates found FIT during trials will proceed to the next stage.
All field trials conducted for recruitment under the Open Advertisement Quota will be video-recorded.
Trials will be conducted by the Trial Committee to assess candidates' sports performance and suitability for the Zonal Railway and Indian Railway teams. Candidates will be categorized as:

Note: Candidates meeting the minimum educational qualifications will be awarded 6 marks. Higher marks will be awarded to candidates with higher educational qualifications.
The final merit list will be based on total marks awarded by the Trial and Recruitment Committees. Minimum qualifying marks are as follows:
Selected candidates will undergo a medical examination at a Railway Hospital as per their merit order in a 1:1 ratio of notified vacancies. Declaration of fitness by the Railway Medical Authority is mandatory for appointment.
The time and venue for trials and document verification will be determined by RRC and communicated to eligible candidates. Requests for changes to the trial or verification dates will not be accommodated.
Junior or Senior Clerks recruited under the Sports Quota must pass the typing proficiency test within four years of appointment. Exemptions may apply for out-of-turn promotions based on sports achievements and organizational directives.
Selected candidates must submit a five-year Service Bond at the time of appointment. Probation will be as per existing Railway rules.
Ensure that your name/spelling, father's name/spelling, community details, educational qualification and date of birth match the entries recorded in your Matriculation or equivalent certificate. Serious discrepancy in name/spelling/dates among the documents will cancel the application at any stage. Claims of this nature will not be entertained. The candidates are advised to examine their documents thoroughly before applying.
