Method of Selection: The Commission selects candidates based on: Valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score. Interview. Merit list preparation: Aggregate marks in GATE score (90% weightage) and interview (10% weightage). Ranking criteria: Candidates with higher interview marks are given preference in case of tied aggregate marks. If interview marks are tied, elder candidates are given preference. Shortlisting for interview: Candidates shortlisted for interview are based on GATE score, twice the vacancies advertised, category wise. Candidates with same marks at the cut-off point of each category are admitted for interview, even if it exceeds twice the vacancies advertised.
