NTPC Mining Ltd. (NML) was established in 2019 as a wholly owned subsidiary of India's largest integrated power company. NML manages a portfolio of seven coal blocks, including:
Currently, operations are active in five of these blocks—Pakri-Barwadih, Dulanga, Talaipalli, Chatti-Bariatu, and Kerendari—located in Jharkhand, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. The other two blocks are in various stages of development. The cumulative peak rated capacity of all blocks is 74 million tonnes per annum. NML aims to reach a 100 MMT capacity within the next five years.
