Education Department, Chandigarh Administration invites online applications from eligible candidates to fill up 396 posts of Junior Basic Teacher (JBTs) (Primary Teacher, class I-V) on a regular basis as per the following details:
Reservation for benchmark disabilities as defined in the area of Education (teaching) vide Gazette of India, Ministry of Social Justice, and Empowerment (Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan)) notification no.38-16/2020-DD-III dated 04th January 2021 will be followed. Candidates appointed against PWD & ESM quota will consume the posts from the respective category to which they belong i.e. GEN/SC/OBC. Instructions regarding reservation of SC/OBC category issued by the Govt. of India and Department of Personnel, Chandigarh Administration will be followed. Copy of instructions is available on Website https://www.chdeducation.gov.in/. Under OBC category, candidates of those castes will be given benefits which are included in the Union Territory, Chandigarh list.
PAY MATRIX:
The Pay Matrix for the post of JBT is Rs.9300-34800+Grade Pay Rs.4200 (Level-VI) notified by Chandigarh Administration, Finance Department (Accounts Branch) vide notification no. 7000/15/8-F&P0(7)/2023/4354 dated 29.03.2023.

Application Submission	Applications can be submitted only 'ONLINE' from 24.01.2024 (11.00 AM onwards) to 19.02.2024 (up to 5.00 PM). Non-refundable fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- in case of SC candidates). Last date to deposit the fee is 22.02.2024 (up to 02.00 PM). Persons with disability are exempted for payment of fee as per Instructions Issued by Govt. of India.

Merit List and Selection	Merit list for selection will be prepared based on total marks obtained in the Objective Type Test. One objective type test of 150 Marks will be conducted. Qualifying marks for the test will be 40% for all candidates. No Interview will be conducted.

Essential Qualifications for the Post of Chandigarh Education Department Junior Basic Teacher Online Form 2024

Educational Qualifications:	The candidate must possess the essential qualifications as of the closing date of application submission.
	Graduation or its equivalent from a recognized University. Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) of not less than 02 years duration recognized by NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education). Must pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted following the guidelines framed by NCTE.
Additional Requirement regarding JCT (Junior Computer Training):	Candidates must fulfill the condition regarding Junior Computer Training (JCT) as per the DOPT (Department of Personnel and Training) letter dated 25.11.2019.
	Certificate of JCT skill course, i.e., Course on Computer Concepts (CCC) for 80 hours from a Government recognized institution or a reputed institution which is ISO 9001 certified OR Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Course (DOEACC) of the Government of India OR from NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology) and its authorized institutions. This condition must be satisfied before the issuing of the appointment letter.
Selection Procedure: Chandigarh Junior Basic Teacher Online Form 2024 All candidates submitting an ONLINE application along with requisite fees before the closing date will receive an admit card for the written exam without eligibility checks. After the written test, the answer key will be uploaded, allowing candidates to submit objections. Marks obtained in the written test will be published on the website. If multiple candidates have the same marks in the written test, priority will be given to those with higher marks in Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.). If marks are still tied, older candidates will be ranked higher. Merit list based on written test marks will be uploaded. Candidates on the list will undergo scrutiny of documents and eligibility checks. Candidates called for document scrutiny will be 1.5 times the number of posts under each category. Merit list for selection will be released after eligibility checks, including skill training certificates. Procedure for Submission of Online Applications Applications can be submitted online from 24.01.2024 (11.00 AM) to 19.02.2024 (05.00 PM) at https://www.chdeducation.gov.in/. Fee payment deadline is 22.02.2024 (02.00 PM). Application fee: Rs. 1000/- (General) and Rs. 500/- (SC). Fee exemption for Persons with Disability. Details on fee submission available on the website. After submission, two printouts of the registration form are required for document verification (if in Merit list). Online application printout is not needed.
