Indian Army JAG Entry Recruitment 2024 – Apply Online for 35th Course (Men & Women) Oct 2025
Applications have been invited by Indian Army for recruitment under the banner of Law Graduates for the 35th Course (Men & Women) under JAG Entry Scheme in the October 2025 batch. There are 08 vacancies available: 04 for men and 04 for women. Eligible applicants holding a Law degree can apply for this position online before the cutoff. The application has begun from 30th October 2024 and will go on till 28th November 2024. After finalizing, they will be trained under the legal stream of Indian Army.

Qualification for the Post: JAG Entry Scheme 35th Course (Men & Women)
Candidates applying for JAG Entry Scheme 35th Course must have an aggregate of 55 percent in their LLB Degree. An LLB is either a three-year professional course after graduation or a five-year course after completion of 10+2. The applicants should be between 21 and 27 years as on 1 Jul 2025. The date of birth must fall between 02 Jul 1998 and 01 Jul 2004.
MSP: ₹ 15,500 per month fixed for officers from the rank of Lieutenant to Brigadier.
Fixed Stipend for Cadet Training
Stipend: ₹ 56,100 per month during the training period at OTA. On successful commissioning, the pay will be fixed at Level 10.
The training period does not count as commissioned service, but arrears for admissible allowances during training will be paid to cadets.
Other Allowances
Dearness Allowance: Admissible at the same rates and conditions as for civilian personnel.
Para Allowance: ₹ 13,125 per month.
Para Reserve Allowance: ₹ 3,281 per month.
Para Jump Instructor Allowance: ₹ 13,125 per month.
Project Allowance: ₹ 4,250 per month.
Special Forces Allowance: ₹ 31,250 per month.
Technical Allowance (Tier-I): ₹ 3,000 per month.
Technical Allowance (Tier-II): ₹ 4,500 per month.
Field Area Allowances
Field Area Allowance: ₹ 10,500 (R1H2), ₹ 6,300 (R2H2), and 60% of R2H2 for Modified Field Area.
High Altitude Allowance
CAT-I: ₹ 3,400 per month (R3H2).
CAT-II: ₹ 5,300 per month (R3H1).
CAT-III: ₹ 25,000 per month (R1H1).
Siachen Allowance
Siachen Allowance: ₹ 42,500 per month.
Uniform Allowance
Dress Allowance: ₹ 25,000 per year (replacing Uniform Allowance).
Other Benefits
Ration in Kind: Available in both Peace and Field Areas.
Transport Allowance: ₹ 7,200 + DA for higher TPTA cities, ₹ 3,600 + DA for other places.
Hostel Subsidy: ₹ 8,438 per month per child (for two eldest surviving children only).
Army Group Insurance Fund (AGIF)
Insurance Coverage: ₹ 1 Cr for Gentlemen/Lady Cadets during the stipend period, in line with regular Army officers' coverage.
Disability Benefits: For candidates invalidated due to disability: ₹ 25 Lakhs for 100% disability, with reductions for lower disabilities. Ex-Gratia Grant is ₹ 50,000 for less than 20% disability.
Exclusions: No disability benefits for alcoholism, drug addiction, or pre-enrolment diseases. Candidates withdrawn on disciplinary grounds or leaving voluntarily are not eligible.
Registration: Click on ‘Officer Entry Appln/Login’ and then ‘Registration’ (Registrations are not required if already registered).
Application Form: After registration, click ‘Apply Online’ under Dashboard. Fill in the application for Short Service Commission JAG Entry Course.
Submission: Ensure all details (Personal, Communication, Education, and SSB) are accurate. Click ‘Save & Continue’ after each section.
Final Submission: Review your information on the summary page and click ‘Submit’. After submission, take two copies of the application with Roll Number, 30 minutes after the final closure.
Selection Procedure
Application Shortlisting: Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) reserves the right to shortlist applications without assigning reasons. Shortlisted candidates will receive their Selection Centre allotment and can select SSB dates based on availability.
SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo SSB at Selection Centres in Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bangalore, and Jalandhar. Call letters will be sent via email/SMS.
Two-Stage Selection Procedure: Stage I candidates who pass will proceed to Stage II. Failure in Stage I results in return on the same day. SSB interview lasts five days.
Medical Examination: After Stage II, candidates recommended for selection will undergo a medical exam.
Joining Letter: Those recommended and declared medically fit will receive a joining letter, depending on the merit list and available vacancies.
