Recruitment for Junior Assistant
1. Applications are invited online from eligible candidates on University Website from 12.01.2024 to 01.02.2024 (up to 06.00 PM).
2. Eligible candidates must apply online. No other mode of application is accepted.
3. After registration, a user ID is sent to the candidate's mobile and email.
4. Screening Test and Main Examination details will be announced later.
5. Based on Main Exam merit, candidates will undergo a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT).
6. Screening Test may be offline (OMR) or Computer Based (CBT). Main Exam will be objective type (OMR or CBT).

Educational Qualifications

Name of the Post Educational Qualification
JUNIOR ASSISTANT Must hold a Bachelor's Degree of any University in India:
  • Established or incorporated by or under a Central Act,
  • State Act or Provincial Act or an Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission or any equivalent qualification.
Short listed candidates should pass "PROFICIENCY IN OFFICE AUTOMATION WITH USAGE OF COMPUTERS AND ASSOCIATED SOFTWARE," which will be conducted by APPSC as per G.O.Ms.No.26 G.A (ser-8) Dept, Dt: 24.02.2023.

Note: If the applicant possesses an equivalence of qualification other than the prescribed qualification in Dr. YSR UHS notification, the applicant should produce a copy of the Government Orders to the Dr. YSR UHS in advance within 10 days of the last date for submitting applications, failing which their application will be rejected.

How to Apply

Step Description
Step-1 Registration and Fee Payment: Fill in required fields, generate OTP, and receive Registration ID. Note: Registration details are final and cannot be edited.
Step-2 Payment: Choose payment type, enter captcha, and select terms. Click 'Pay Now' to complete fee payment. Payment receipt and details are sent to mobile and email.
Step-3 Fill Application: Input relevant details, review accuracy, and submit. Details of submission are communicated through SMS and email.
Step-4 Print Application: After successful submission, retrieve and print the application using provided credentials.
Step-5 Application Corrections: Corrections allowed within the form with applicable charges. Some fields are not editable. Corrections within stipulated timelines.

Scheme of Examination

Point Description
1. The Scheme & Syllabus for the Screening Test and Main examination including Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) has been shown in Annexure-II.
2. Scheme is prescribed as per G.O Ms. No.06, Finance (HR-I, Pig, & Policy) Dept., dated: 06.01.2023 and G.O.Ms.No.26, G.A. (Ser-B) Dept., Dt: 24.02.2023 for CPT.
3. As per G.O. Ms. No.235, Finance (HR-I, Pig & Policy) Dept., Dt. 06/12/2016, for each wrong answer will be penalized with 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for the question.
4. As per G.O.Ms.No.5 General Administration (Ser-A) Dept., dated: 05.01.2018, the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission is empowered to pick up candidates, who obtain such minimum qualifying marks in the Screening Test (Preliminary Examination) as may be fixed by the Commission at its discretion for the Main Examination. The APPSC is further permitted to select candidates from specific categories by applying relaxed standards in the Screening Test (Preliminary Examination) to fill up reserved vacancies.

Selection Procedure

Point Description
1) Appearance in all papers of Screening & Main examination is compulsory. Absence in any paper leads to disqualification.
2) Selection based on Merit in the Main Examination as per the Scheme and Syllabus shown in Annexure-I.
3) Minimum qualifying marks fixed by Dr. YSR UHS. Mere securing minimum marks doesn't guarantee selection.
4) Reservation percentages for different categories:
  • Open competition, Sports Persons, Ex-Servicemen & EWS: 40%
  • Backward Class: 35%
  • SCs, STs & PBDs: 30%
5) Consideration of reserved category claims for open competition vacancies. Special provisions for SC & ST candidates as per G.O.Ms.No.631, G.A. (Ser.A) Dept., dt.05.09.1977.
6) Tie-breaking criteria based on age and educational qualification if candidates get equal marks.
7) Selected candidates must be medically fit.
8) Memorandum of Marks available on APPSC website after final selection. Individual requests entertained one month after selection list on payment of Rs.200/-. Rejected candidates won't be issued any Memorandum of Marks.
