DME, AP Assistant Professor Recruitment 2024 – Apply Online for 488 Posts

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Andhra Pradesh, has announced the recruitment of 488 Assistant Professors on a regular basis. The selected candidates will receive a salary according to the prevailing rules during the probation period. Upon completion, the 7th UGC Pay scales, as per G.O.Ms.No.22, HM & FW (A1) Dept., Dated 01.03.2021, will be applicable. Additionally, a Super Specialty allowance of Rs.30,000/- will be provided. Qualification for the Post of Assistant Professor - DME, AP

The qualifications required for the Assistant Professor positions in DME, AP, include a PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB/DM) in the concerned specialty for Broad Specialties (Clinical and Non-Clinical) and a PG Degree (DNB/DM/MCH) in the relevant Super Specialty. These qualifications must be obtained from institutions recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI), National Medical Commission (NMC), or Dental Council of India (DCI). Candidates must ensure they meet these qualifications before applying for the position.

Direct Recruitment Guidelines

• Age Limit:
  • OC: Max 42 years (Born on or after 01-07-1982)
  • EWS/SC/ST/BC: Max 47 years (Born on or after 01-07-1977)
  • Physically Handicapped: Max 52 years (Born on or after 01-07-1972)
  • Ex-Servicemen: Max 50 years (Born on or after 01-07-1974)
• Eligibility: Only local candidates from Andhra Pradesh can apply.
• In-Service Candidates:
  • Obtain NOC from relevant authority.
  • Resignation required before joining.
  • Assistant Professors cannot apply for the same specialty.
• Selection Process:
  • Based on merit and reservation rules.
  • Total Marks: 100 (75 for qualifying degree, 25 for service weightage).
  • Up to 15 Marks for COVID-19 contract service.

Lateral Entry Guidelines

• Eligibility: Only Assistant Professors and Civil Assistant Surgeons in AP are eligible.
• Rule of Reservation: Applies to promotions.
• NOC Requirement: Submit NOC from HoD.
• Selection Process: Based on previous rank and reservation rules.
