APPSC Group 1 Exam Selection Process Details

Selection Procedure The selection process for Group I Exam consists of a written examination and an interview.
Written Examination	The Screening Test conducted by APPSC is of objective type mode, including Paper -I General Studies.
	Part A: History and Culture (30 marks) Part B: Constitution, Polity, Social Justice, and International Relations (30 marks) Part C: Indian and Andhra Pradesh Economy And Planning (30 marks) Part D: Geography (30 marks) Total marks: 120 \| Time duration: 120 Minutes
The second paper, Paper -II General Aptitude, consists of:
Part A: General Mental Ability, Administrative and Psychological Abilities (60 marks) Part B: (i) Science and Technology (30 marks), (ii) Current events of Regional, National, and International importance (30 marks) Total marks: 120 \| Time duration: 120 Minutes
N.B: NEGATIVE MARKS: As per G.O. Ms. No.235, Finance (HR-I, Plg & Policy) Dept., Dt.06/12/2016, for each wrong answer will be penalized with 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for the question.
The Main Examination conducted by APPSC is of objective type mode which includes Paper I, II, III, IV & IV.
Paper I: General Essay on contemporary themes and issues of regional, national, and international importance (150 marks, 180 Minutes) Paper II: History and Cultural and Geography of India and Andhra Pradesh (150 marks, 180 Minutes) Paper III: Polity, Constitution, Governance, Law and Ethics (150 marks, 180 Minutes) Paper IV: Economy and Development of India and Andhra Pradesh (150 marks, 180 Minutes) Paper IV: Science, Technology, and Environmental Issues (150 marks, 180 Minutes) Total marks for Main examination: 750 \| Separate minimum qualifying marks for Reservation candidates.
Interview	Candidates who scored minimum qualifying marks in the Main Examination will be called for an interview. Maximum marks for the interview: 75.
