| Written test (MCQ based) | Selection for Senior Residents. Total questions: 80, each carrying one mark. No negative marking. |
| Written Test Date | 20.12.2023 at AIIMS PATNA only. Results declared on the same day on AIIMS, Patna website. |
| Qualifying Marks (Written Test) | UR: 50%, OBC-NCL/EWS: 45%, SC/ST: 40%. |
| Personal Interview | Successful candidates (up to three times of seats in each specialty) called for an interview on 21.12.2023. Interview carries 20 marks. |
| Final Selection | Combination of written test and interview marks. |
| Communication | Candidates to provide phone numbers and emails for prompt communication. Responsibility to check schedule lies with the candidate on the institute website. |

| Specialty | Additional Criteria |
| Trauma & Emergency Medicine | Senior Residents recruited in this specialty will be assigned to the Department of Emergency Medicine. |
| Dentistry | Candidates with an MDS in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery or MDS in Conservative & Endodontics will be considered. |
| General Medicine / General Surgery | Senior Residency in General Medicine involves rotational postings in Medical Super-Specialties. Similarly, General Surgery includes rotational postings in Surgical Super-Specialties. Experience certificates will be issued accordingly. |

| QUALIFICATION: | A Post Graduate Degree (MD/MS/DNB/DM/M.Ch or equivalent) in the respective department recognized by the Medical Council of India/NMC/NEE. |
